Age & Child Safety Policy

Overthink It is intended exclusively for adults.

You must be 18 years of age or older to:

• Create an Overthink It account
• Maintain an account
• Access the platform
• Participate in public forums
• Send or receive messages
• Create or participate in Cases
• Add or interact with Friends
• Upload conversation screenshots
• Upload profile screenshots or photographs for AI analysis
• Use Overthink It's AI features
• Share content with other users

By creating or maintaining an account, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You have the legal capacity to agree to Overthink It's Terms of Service.
• You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law.

Individuals under 18 are not permitted to use Overthink It.

Overthink It does not knowingly provide accounts or services to children or teenagers under 18.

If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may:

• Suspend the account immediately.
• Restrict access to the account.
• Delete the account.
• Delete associated content where appropriate.
• Delete associated personal information where required by applicable law.
• Take additional measures necessary to protect the minor.

We may take these actions without prior notice when necessary to protect users or comply with applicable law.

The 18+ requirement applies to the entire platform.

A person under 18 may not use Overthink It simply because they:

• Only want to read public posts.
• Do not intend to message anyone.
• Do not use AI features.
• Do not upload content.
• Have permission from a parent or guardian.
• Have an account belonging to someone else.
• Are using another person's device.
• Are accessing a public portion of the platform.

Parental or guardian permission does not authorize an individual under 18 to create or use an Overthink It account.

When you create an Overthink It account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. Overthink It currently relies on this self-declaration and does not request or store your date of birth.

You must not:

• Misrepresent your age.
• Use another person's identity.
• Circumvent the age requirement.
• Create an account on behalf of a minor.
• Allow a minor to use your account.

If we have reason to believe an account belongs to someone under 18, the account may be suspended or terminated.

Overthink It does not currently verify users' ages. The Service does not use age-verification technology, identity-document verification, or third-party age-assurance providers at this time.

The 18+ requirement is enforced through the user's representation at account creation and through account action if we become aware that a user is under 18.

Because self-declaration cannot identify every underage user, Overthink It does not guarantee that no one under 18 will access the Service.

If an individual under 18 gains access to Overthink It despite the platform's age requirements, the account should not be used.

If the user or another person believes an account belongs to someone under 18, the situation should be reported through the platform's reporting tools.

Do not attempt to investigate, expose, identify, contact, threaten, or publicly shame the suspected minor.

Overthink It will review reports and take appropriate action.

If you believe someone using Overthink It is under 18, report the account through the available reporting mechanism.

Include information that may help Overthink It evaluate the report, such as:

• Username.
• Profile URL or identifying account information.
• Reason for believing the user is under 18.
• Relevant publicly available information.

Do not include unnecessary personal information about the suspected minor.

Do not repost or distribute screenshots of the suspected minor.

Do not attempt to obtain additional personal information from the person.

Overthink It has zero tolerance for sexual exploitation or sexualization of minors.

Users may not upload, post, send, request, generate, share, store, or distribute content involving the sexual exploitation or sexualization of anyone under 18.

This includes, among other things:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
• Sexual images or videos involving minors.
• Sexualized depictions of minors.
• Sexual conversations involving minors.
• Requests for sexual images from minors.
• Sexual solicitation of minors.
• Sexualized AI-generated content depicting minors.
• Attempts to obtain or distribute sexual material involving minors.
• Sexual content falsely presented as involving an adult when the person depicted is actually a minor.

This prohibition applies regardless of whether the content is:

• Real.
• Edited.
• AI-generated.
• Computer-generated.
• Photorealistic.
• Fictionalized.
• Shared privately.
• Posted publicly.

Users may not use Overthink It to:

• Solicit sexual activity from a minor.
• Request sexual images from a minor.
• Offer sexual material to a minor.
• Groom a minor for sexual purposes.
• Encourage a minor to meet for sexual purposes.
• Move a sexual interaction with a minor to another platform.
• Facilitate sexual exploitation of a minor.

Accounts suspected of engaging in this behavior may be immediately restricted or terminated.

Where required by law, Overthink It may report applicable conduct or content to appropriate authorities or designated organizations.

Overthink It may contain discussions involving dating, relationships, dating-app profiles, messages, and interpersonal situations.

Because Overthink It is an adults-only platform:

• Users must not use the platform to target minors for dating or sexual purposes.
• Users must not upload or share sexualized content involving minors.
• Users must not solicit minors for romantic or sexual interactions.
• Users must not use Overthink It to facilitate meetings with minors for sexual purposes.
• Users must not attempt to identify, locate, or expose minors through dating-related posts.

Users should exercise particular caution when sharing screenshots of dating-app conversations or profiles.

Do not publicly identify a private individual, particularly a minor, in connection with a dating dispute or accusation.

Users should not upload images containing identifiable minors to Overthink It's AI analysis features unless there is a legitimate reason and the user has the necessary permission or legal basis to do so.

Users should avoid uploading:

• School identification cards.
• Student records.
• School schedules.
• Home addresses.
• Phone numbers.
• Private conversations.
• Medical information.
• Government identification.
• Other sensitive information concerning minors.

Users should redact unnecessary identifying information before uploading content.

Overthink It's AI features may analyze uploaded:

• Conversation screenshots.
• Dating-app profiles.
• Social-media profiles.
• Images.
• Text.
• Other user-provided content.

Users must not intentionally use these features to analyze or profile minors inappropriately.

Users must not upload content to the AI system for the purpose of:

• Sexualizing a minor.
• Identifying a minor for sexual purposes.
• Locating a minor.
• Profiling a minor for exploitation.
• Generating sexual content involving a minor.
• Facilitating contact with a minor for sexual purposes.

Overthink It may restrict or terminate accounts that misuse AI features in violation of this policy.

Users may not use Overthink It to crowdsource the identification, location, or personal information of a minor.

Prohibited activities include:

• "Help me find this kid."
• Identifying a minor from a photograph.
• Finding a minor's school.
• Finding a minor's home.
• Posting a minor's phone number.
• Posting a minor's social-media accounts for targeting.
• Organizing users to contact a minor.
• Encouraging users to track a minor.

This restriction applies even if the user claims that the information is publicly available elsewhere.

Overthink It strictly prohibits CSAM.

Users must never upload or distribute CSAM through:

• Posts.
• Messages.
• Cases.
• Public forums.
• AI tools.
• Profile uploads.
• Comments.
• Friend interactions.
• Any other portion of the Service.

Do not upload CSAM to Overthink It for the purpose of reporting it.

If you encounter suspected CSAM, use Overthink It's reporting mechanism rather than redistributing the material.

Overthink It may preserve relevant information and report suspected CSAM or child sexual exploitation to appropriate authorities or designated reporting organizations when required or appropriate under applicable law.

Overthink It prohibits grooming and other behavior intended to sexually exploit or abuse minors.

This includes attempts to:

• Build trust with a minor for sexual purposes.
• Isolate a minor.
• Encourage secrecy about sexual interactions.
• Request sexual photographs.
• Exchange sexual content.
• Arrange sexual meetings.
• Move sexual conversations to private communication channels.
• Coerce or manipulate a minor into sexual activity.

Users suspected of engaging in grooming or exploitation may be removed from the platform.

If you encounter conduct that appears to involve:

• Sexual exploitation of a minor.
• Grooming.
• Sexual solicitation of a minor.
• CSAM.
• Threats against a minor.
• Attempts to locate or exploit a minor.

report it through Overthink It's reporting system as soon as possible.

Provide enough information for the Trust & Safety team to investigate.

Do not:

• Confront the suspected offender.
• Threaten the suspected offender.
• Organize other users against them.
• Repost prohibited material.
• Attempt to investigate the situation yourself.

Overthink It is not an emergency response service.

If someone appears to face an immediate risk of serious physical harm, users should contact the appropriate emergency services or relevant authorities in their jurisdiction.

Do not rely on Overthink It as a substitute for emergency assistance.

Overthink It may take action when it reasonably believes an account or content violates this policy.

Possible actions include:

• Removing content.
• Restricting content visibility.
• Restricting messaging.
• Restricting AI features.
• Suspending an account.
• Permanently terminating an account.
• Blocking associated accounts.
• Preserving relevant information where legally appropriate.
• Reporting conduct to appropriate authorities or organizations where required or appropriate.

Enforcement decisions may consider:

• Severity of the conduct.
• Risk to a minor.
• Credibility of available information.
• User history.
• Repeated violations.
• Applicable legal requirements.

Overthink It may take immediate action where necessary to protect users.

Overthink It may cooperate with valid legal requests from law enforcement, courts, regulators, or other authorized governmental entities.

Where required by law, Overthink It may preserve or disclose information relevant to investigations involving:

• Child exploitation.
• Sexual abuse.
• Threats.
• Serious criminal activity.
• Other legally actionable conduct.

Any disclosure will be handled in accordance with applicable law and Overthink It's Privacy Policy.

Users must not intentionally submit false child-safety reports to:

• Harass another user.
• Remove someone they dislike.
• Retaliate against another user.
• Manipulate moderation.
• Gain access to another person's account.

Good-faith reports are permitted even when the reported conduct ultimately does not violate this policy.

Users should report genuine concerns without attempting to determine the final outcome themselves.

If Overthink It becomes aware that information concerning a minor has been improperly posted or shared, it may take steps to limit the information's exposure.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

• Removing content.
• Restricting access.
• Suspending an account.
• Removing identifying information.
• Preserving relevant information where legally required.
• Taking additional measures required by applicable law.

Overthink It does not guarantee that information posted by users can be immediately removed from every location where it may have been copied or redistributed.

Overthink It uses reasonable measures to enforce its age and child-safety requirements.

However, no automated system, age-verification process, moderation system, or human review process can detect every violation.

Overthink It does not guarantee that:

• Every underage account will be detected.
• Every prohibited image will be identified.
• Every grooming attempt will be detected.
• Every child-safety violation will be prevented.
• Every user will accurately report their age.

Users should report suspected violations rather than relying solely on automated systems.

Overthink It may update this Age & Child Safety Policy as the Service, applicable laws, safety practices, or technology change.

When material changes are made, Overthink It may provide notice through the Service or other appropriate means.

The updated policy will become effective on the date stated in the revised policy.

Questions or concerns regarding age restrictions or child safety should be submitted through Overthink It's designated safety or reporting channel.

When submitting a report, provide enough information to allow Overthink It to identify the relevant account or content.

Do not include unnecessary sensitive information.
